ArmInfo. "We had an opportunity to timely claim that normalization
of the Armenian-Turkish relations and establishment of diplomatic
relations between Armenia and Turkey has nothing to do with the
Karabakh conflict settlement", President of the NKR Bako Sahakyan said
when replying to ArmInfo’s question. According to him, president of
Armenia said in his special message and gave numerous explanations
on what the Armenian-Turkish relations imply. As B. Sahakyan said,
not the Armenian party but the countries, involved in the process
of normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations, claim of the
linkage of these two issues. "Nevertheless, Turkey keeps on making
such statements and directly linking the issue on normalization of
Armenia-Turkey relations with the Karabakh conflict. Of course, such
an approach cannot be considered fair in prospect", the president
said. He emphasized that Armenia strives for establishment of peace
and stability in the region having indicated that Turkey’s stance in
this issue is non-constructive.
