Karen Bekaryan, who is the chairman of the "European integration" NGO,
thinks that the resolution of the Armenian Genocide and the discussion
of its plan on March 4 in Congress are a new project for Turkey.
"They will try to use this and in case of having no result those tools
will be used against those who will breach the agreements. At present
the both sides are in dilemma, to become a hostage for Azerbaijan or
to try to controvert itself", – Bekaryan said.
He says that in the same issues Turkey states that it is the past that
is important in another case he says it’s the present or the future:
"In some sense Turkey puts itself into a funny situation."
Thus, according to the expert, Turkey tries to assure the whole world
that the concept of development of the natural relations is the present
and the future, and for him it is still a question what Turkey would
try to persuade to the world concerning Armenian – Azerbaijani issue.
"Those are questions which from the first side seem to be theoretical
but they have an intention of being absorbed into the international
opinion", – Bekaryan said adding that such kind of statements shouldn’t
be left out from our attention.
