April 24 is the deadline for the process of establishment of the
Armenian-Turkish relations, political scientist Sergey Minasyan told
a press conference today. According to him, the expected developments
depend on several factors: the discussions in Armenia, the domestic
problems in Turkey and, at last, the Armenian Genocide Resolution
pending in the US Congress.

According to the political scientist, Turkey’s dragging out the
ratification of the protocols is connected not only with the Karabakh
issue, but also with certain domestic problems, which exist and will
aggravate after the ratification.

"Turkey not only stalled the Armenian-Turkish process, but also faced
serious problems with Azerbaijan. Despite the frequent statements
that Turkey is somehow trying to link the relations with Armenia
to the Karabakh issue, Azerbaijan mistrusts the current Turkish
authorities, and it’s a result of populist and ill-considered steps,"
Sergey Minasyan said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
