Today in the Yerevan Art Akademy was opened the private posthumous
exhibition of Sargis Muradyan, Armenian national painter.

The daughter of the painter Zaruhi Muradyan presented works of
different periods of the painter, etudes, eskizes the half of which
has never been shown. There are more than 40 works.

"I have protected them from the dust, and it’s one year already that
I am choosing the canvas", – Zaruhi Muradyan mentioned and added that
the canvas of the painter are now in different galleries.

The daughter stressed that his father as a painter was unique in his
national views. The main heroes of the painter were Komitas, Paruyr
Sevak and the nature.

Z. Muradyan remembered the words of her father, which said we are a
little nation, and our face is our culture, and our culture should
be national.

The daughter of the painter mentioned that is intended to celebrate the
85th anniversary of his father in 2010 and to open Sargis Muradyan’s
museum – gallery.
