The reason to discuss Armenian Genocide resolution in the US Congress
isn’t Armenia but Turkey, ACNIS director Richard Giragosian told at
news conference.

"Much depends on Turkey, if the US will adopt the resolution. This
may be studied in the context of Turkish-American ties. We don’t know
what kind of neighbor we’re going to have tomorrow. It might happen
Turkey becomes even more dangerous than it is today," expert said.

Mr. Giragosian states the powerful countries are mistaken to put
pressure on Turkey. "In that case Turkey may start a wrong route
harming itself."

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
