PUBLIC SERVICES REGULATORY COMMISSION RAISES ELECTRIC POWER RELEASE TARIFFS FOR POWER GENERATING AND TRANSMITTING COMPANIES IN ARMENIA

ArmInfo. The Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) resolved
to revise and increase the electric power release tariffs for power
generating and transmitting companies in Armenia, Monday. The decision
will come into effect on April 1 2010. Electricity tariffs for final
consumers will be left unchanged, PSRC Chairman Robert Nazaryan says.
The tariffs depend on the increase of gas import from Russia from
the current $154 to $180 per cu m starting April 1 2010 as well as
on fluctuation of the national dram. Thus, the release price for the
Armenian NPP will increase to 4,604 drams/kWh versus 4.413 drams/1
kWh inclusive of VAT. The monthly payment for capacity utilization
will be increased to 3108.42 drams/kWh from 2352.576 drams/1kWh
(all the tariffs are inclusive of VAT).
Electric power release and export tariff for the Yerevan TPP will be
increased to 30,925 drams/kWh from 26.222 drams/1kWh, and the payment
for capacity utilization will amount to 581.44 drams/kWh versus 580.824
drams. Electric power release and export tariff for Hrazdan TPP will
be increased to 32,594 drams/kWh versus 27.0492 drams/1kWh.
Payment for capacity utilization will be reduced to 512.70 versus
494,352. Electricity release tariff for Vorotan HPP will be increased
to 1.144 drams/kWh versus previous 0.180 drams and the payment for
capacity utilization will be increased to 214.57 drams versus 197.736
drams. The release tariff for the International Energy Corporation
will be increased to 1,174 drams versus 1.164 drams and payment
for capacity utilization will be reduced to 502,70 versus 717,456
drams. Electric power release and export tariff for High-voltage
Power Transmission Lines CJSC will be increased to -.852 drams/kWh
versus 0.432 drams/1kWh.
