The ratification of the Armenian-Turkish protocols may drag out
because of the processes taking place in and around Turkey, MP Vardan
Khachatryan told a press conference today. According to him, Turkey
has an opportunity to protract the ratification of the protocols for
another ten months.

Vardan Khachatryan says Turkey is inclined to drag out the ratification
of the protocols rather than reject them.

"The tension in the region is growing day by day conditioned by
various interest," Vardan Khachatryan said, adding that under these
conditions Turkey is attempting to tie the Armenian-Turkish relations
to the Karabakh settlement.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
