The European chess championship is underway in Croatian Rieka. The
games of the fifth round will be played today.
International grandmaster Rauf Mammadov showed the best result among
Azerbaijani chess players in the championship.
According to the official website of the European championship, Rauf
Mammadov lags behind the contest leader just by 0.5 points. Rauf
Mammadov will play with Belarus grandmaster Nikita Mayrov today.
The Azerbaijani-Armenian confrontation is planned among women. Zeynab
Mammadyarova will play against Anait Kharatyan.
