Spokesman denies Armenian president in poor health

Yerevan, 11 March: Armenian President’s Spokesman Samvel Farmanyan
described the publication in "Haykakan Zhamanak" newspaper, according
to which Serzh Sargsyan, who is in France for an official visit, had
problems with health, as "misinformation" in an interview to Mediamax
today.

"This publication is another misinformation, which has nothing to do
with the reality. The President completed his program yesterday
evening by a wonderful and warm dinner with representatives of the
Armenian community of France," Samvel Farmanyan stated in an interview
to Mediamax.

"The more successful are the visits of the Armenian President, and the
Paris official visit was outstanding, warm and meeting Armenian-French
friendly relations, the more lies and misinformation appear, spread by
particular circles," Spokesman of the Armenian President stated.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
