OSCE fails to hold the monitoring of the Armenian and Azerbaijani
troops contact line scheduled for today near the Tazakend village in
Azerbaijan’s Agdam region.

The OSCE’s cars stuck in a swamp, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry
told Trend News. Defense Ministry earlier warned the monitoring group
on presence of swamp in this area.

Monitoring was expected to be held on the contact line between
Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces near the Tazakend village
in Azerbaijan’s Agdam region March 16 under a mandate of the OSCE
chairman special envoy.

The monitoring was to be held on the Azerbaijani side by OSCE
Chairman-in-Office Personal Representative field assistants Imre
Palatinus and Jaslan Nurtazin.

The monitoring was to be held on the opposite side, which the
international community recognizes as Azerbaijani territory, by OSCE
Chairman-in-Office Personal Representative Andrzej Kasprzyk’s field
assistants Peter Key, Vladimir Chountulov and and Antal Herdich.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
