The passage of Armenian Genocide bills in the US House Foreign
Relations Committee and the Swedish Parliament cannot be viewed
separately from the current global geopolitical developments,
political scientist Igor Muradyan says. He is assured that the current
developments connected with the Armenian Genocide recognition and
the Armenian-Turkish process are a small part of the global politics.

According to the political scientist, the Armenian-Turkish process
is over, because the western power centers want so. Their purpose
is to accuse both the Armenian and Turkish parties of the failure of
the process.

Igor Muradyan considers that the Armenian authorities and diplomacy
face one important task today – not to allow Armenia be put on the
same scale with Turkey. The political scientist is assured that
Turkey’s current behavior shows that it is ready for everything –
any aggressive political statements or actions.

According to Igor Muradyan, still 1.5 years ago it was clear that
"the Armenian-Turkish relations would not be normalized in this
historic period and these attempts would lead to the aggravation of
the confrontation."
