KIRIL I AWARDED WITH A GOLDEN MEDAL OF YSU

His Holiness Kirill I, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, who is
in Armenia upon the invitation of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme
Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians visited the Yerevan State
University.
The YSU rector Aram Simonyan greeting those who were present mentioned
that today it was a special day for YSU as they have the honor to
host the pastors of two countries.
"My life is in Christianity, thus can be assessed the life of the
Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia. This is the reason why his
words are heard not only by the spiritual world but also by all the
political, cultural elite", – A. Simonyan.
The rector mentioned that the Armenian – Russian relations have
passed a long way; the Armenians have been not only under political
depressions but also by many conquerors, the Russian humanity too
has also helped the Armenians a lot.
"The Armenian and Russian people have had exchanges of cultural
and social values, they have developed by that way. In the current
geopolitical situation the most important thing is the preservation
of the Christian values", – stressed Aram Simonyan in his speech.
A. Simonyan awarded the patriarch of all Russians with the title of
the YSU honorable doctor and a golden medal.
