HIS HOLINESS MOR IGNATIUS ZAKKA I IWAS VISITS HIS HOLINESS ARAM I
Mor Theophilos George Saliba, Metropolitan of Mount Lebanon – Syrian
Orthodox Archbishopric paid a visit to Antelias on behalf of Patriarch HH
Zakka I, to hear the impressions of Catholicos Aram I on his recent visit to
India. H.G. Bishop Nareg Alemezian, the Ecumenical Officer of the
Catholicosate also attended the meeting.
Metropolitan George Saliba was most interested in the painful relationship
between the Malankara Indian Orthodox Church and the separated and
reorganized Syrian Orthodox Parishes in India, both part of the Syrian
Orthodox Church of Antioch.
At the end of the visit, His Holiness Aram I informed the Metropolitan that
Bishop Nareg will soon visit Patriarch Zakka I and transmit a special
message from him.
