On March 16 the BBC aired an interview with Turkish PM Erdogan in
which he said that around 100,000 illegal immigrants from Armenia could
be deported. The Armenian Foreign Ministry has refused to comment on
Erdogan’s statement, but head of the Immigration Service of Armenia
Gagik Eganian has stated that according to the data available to him
there are under 10,000 Armenian migrants in Turkey.

Analyst Artak Shakarian thinks that maybe Turkey will symbolically
deport a certain number of Armenians from Turkey as an indirect
response to the US resolution on the Armenian genocide.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
