Turkey recalled its Ambassador Namik Tan from the U.S. after the House
Committee on Foreign Affairs on March 4 passed the H.252 resolution
recognizing killings of 1.5 Armenians in Ottoman Empire in 1915 as
Armenian Genocide.

"We cannot accept the judgment of members of the foreign relations
committee, who do not know anything about the history," Turkish Foreign
Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Tuesday, The Washington Post reports.

According to the source, Davutoglu also stated that Turkey will not
send back its Ambassador until Obama administration and Congress
fulfill two conditions: stop judging "our history" and "agree to
develop our strategic alliance."

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
