Head of Armenian Delegation to NATO delivers lecture at Lessius

ArmInfo. Head of the Armenian Delegation to NATO Samvel Lazarian has
delivered a lecture at Lessius University College, Antwerp. He spoke
on Armenia’s security policy and security problems in the South
Caucasus.

The Armenian Foreign Ministry reported that S. Lazarian presented the
general provisions of Armenia’s security policy, i.e. overcoming of
the existing discrepancies, prevalence of common interests,
liquidation of dividing lines. He touched upon Armenia’s membership of
the CSTO, development of partner ties with NATO and relations with
neighboring Georgia and Iran. Samvel Lazarian dwelled upon the
historical roots of the Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijan’s aggression
against Nagprny Karabakh, and efforts to settle the conflict. For his
part, Armenian Ambassador to NATO presented the Armenian-Turkish
normalization and the attempts by Turkey to artificially protract the
process.
