After Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan advised Armenia "to get rid
of Diaspora" and threatened to exile 100 thousand illegal Armenian
migrants, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, as a good strategist, went
counter to Erdogan to put off the scent, freelance French journalist
Jean Eckian told PanARMENIAN.Net

"The secular Turkish diplomacy should understand that these maneuvers
are more than doubtful in the eyes of the Armenian Diaspora. When he
says "Who will believe Turkey’s intention to improve the relations
with Armenia and Diaspora if the only way to do this is to immediately
put on the table recognition of the Armenian Genocide. Hundreds of
Turkish intellectuals and journalists understand this. Fortunately
the international community can’t be fooled with statements made for
effect," he said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
