ERDOGAN AND GUL DISCUSSED ARMENIA-TURKEY RAPPROCHEMENT

On April 8 Turkish President Abdullah Gul had a meeting with the
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan after the prime minister
returned from his visit to France.

According to the Turkish Public TV during half-and-an-hour meeting
the tow leaders discussed issues relating to the recent development
in the Armenian-Turkish rapprochement, as well as issues on Erdogan’s
meetings in the Elysee Palace during his recent visit to Paris.

Erdogan and Gul are reported to have spoken also about Erdogan’s
upcoming official visit to Washington from April 12-13 where he will
participate in a World Nuclear Security Summit. Erdogan will also
meet the US President Barack Obama and the Armenian President Serzh
Sargsyan in the framework of this summit

No other details on this meeting have been reported so far.
