In commemoration of the 95th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide,
Armenian-born violinist Tatevik Ayazyan and pianist Karine Poghosyan,
both of New York, will present an Armenian Music Concert on Sunday,
April 25, at 6 p.m. at the Englewood Public Library. The program,
which is being funded by the Friends of the Englewood Public Library,
is free and open to the public.

Ayazyan and Poshosyan will be playing the music of Armenian composer
Aram Ilych Khachaturian (1903-1978). They will play the following
pieces during the April 25 Concert:

Sonata-monologue for Violin Solo, Op. 106 (1975); Piano Sonata, Op. 95
(1961) – 1. Allegro vivace, 2. Andante tranquillo, and 3. Allegro
assai; and Sonata for Violin and Piano, Op. 29 (1932) – 1. Lento
rubato ed espressivo and 2. Allegro ma non troppo.
