In just three days Armenia and all the countries that have condemned
the Armenian genocide in Ottoman Turkey will commemorate the sad
95th anniversary of the Armenian genocide. A new exhibition in the
capital Yerevan will display how the foreign media covered the Armenian
genocide between the late 19th to 21st centuries.

In April 22. 2010, at 12:00, the Armenian Genocide Museum opens a
temporary exhibition "Armenian genocide: frontpage coverage in the
foreign media". The exhibition comprises over 70 Russian, Italian,
French, American and British original newspapers and magazines
dating to 19th-21th centuries, which covered the issues related to
the Armenian massacres and Armenian question on their fronpages.

The exhibition was organized by the generous support of Tigran
Kalaydjian from Cyprus who supported the collection named after Petros
and Aram Kalaydjians. The materials of the Armenian Library and Museum
of America also were included in the exhibition.

Turkey denies the Armenian genocide charge despite more than 20
parliaments in the world have acknowledged and called the events
between 1915-1921 as genocide and systematic killings of ethnic
Christian Armenians. However, there are some rumors that this year
in Istanbul for the first time a group of human watch activists from
Human Watch Right will commemorate the Armenian genocide victims.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
