BERGEN COUNTY COMMEMORATES 95TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

The Bergen County Executive issued the following press release:

Bergen County Executive Dennis McNerney and the Board of Chosen
Freeholders will host the annual Commemoration Ceremony for Armenian
Genocide Victims.

The 95th Anniversary Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide was
organized by the Bergen County Chapters of the Knights and Daughters
of Vartan Bakradouny Lodge #38, and Sahaganoush Chapter #24.

The event will be held near the Armenian Genocide Memorial monument,
which was erected in July 1990 by the Knights of Vartan, Bakradouny
Lodge No. 38. During the event, County Executive McNerney will issue
a proclamation declaring Saturday, April 24, 2010 as Armenian Genocide
Remembrance Day in Bergen County.

The ceremony will include a Requiem Service by members of the Armenian
Clergy and the laying of flowers.
