A GROUP OF ARMENIANS CALL ON CHINA TO RECOGNIZE THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

A group of Armenian artists and scientists called on the government
of China to recognize the Armenian Genocide, according to "Sardarapat"
Committee report.

"We call on the amiable Chinese people to join their powerful voice to
that of the international public by recognizing the Armenian Genocide
and condemning the hatred between peoples, the national discrimination
and all the ways of enmity manifestations to prevent the occurrence
of such tragedies in the human history," the letter reads.

The petition has been signed by Tigran Khzmalyan, Levon Abrahamyan,
Zaruhi Muradyan, Hranoush Kharatyan, Levon Chugaszyan, Ashot Adamyan
and others. The letter will be handed to the Chinese Embassy April 24.
