AXA insurance company to pay $11.5 million to Genocide victims’ descendants

insurances of the forefathers deposited in AXA French insurance
company from Ardshininvestbank CJSC (ASHB). According to ASHB manager
do date of 996 depositors 56 people got compensation of $248.109. They
payment were given out starting this February depending on the
invested amounts.

AXA payments vary from $500 to $24.000 in cheques. The names of
recipients are confidential.

Overall, 996 descendants of the Armenian Genocide victims will get
$11.5 million. Six more million will be paid to three lawyers bringing
legal actions against charity institutions, New York Life and AXA
insurance companies. The amount to be received from these two
companies makes $37 million.
