Argentine Parliament urges Turkey abandon Genocide denial policy

13:50 / 04/24/2010The National Senate of Argentina and the Hay Dat
Bureau of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun)
(ARF(D)) in South America jointly organized a function on the occasion
of the 95th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Among the participants were Argentine parliamentarians, renowned
public and political figures and representatives of the Armenian
organizations in Argentina, RA Ambassador to Argentina Vladimir
Karmirshalyan, Armenian clergymen, and numerous journalists.

Alfonso Tabakian, Chairman of the Armenian National Council of South
America (El Consejo Nacional Armenio de Sudamérica), members of the
Argentine Parliaments Ricardo Alfonsin, Daniel Filmus spoke at the
function. The speakers pointed out that over 30 governments,
parliaments and international agencies (including Argentina)
recognized the Armenian Genocide and condemned the masterminds and
perpetrators. They urged the Turkish authorities to display political
will and abandon their policy of Genocide denial.
