ArmInfo. Attack on Argishti Kiviryan, editor of Armenia Today agency,
points to Javakhq, Sevak Artsruni, President of Yerkir Council,
told media on Wednesday.

Kiviryan is not the only man to suffer from the same people. "Last
year, almost immediately after the attack on Kiviryan, I received an
anonymous phone call that warned me "to stop interfering into others’
business", particularly, to the situation in Javakhq, otherwise "I
would occur in the same situation as Kiviryan," he said. Artsruni said
that Head of the Akhalkalaki Police Samvel Petrosyan is the leader of
anti-Armenian actions in Javakhq, including the attack on Kiviryan. S.

Petrosyan has repeatedly compromised himself despite his position.

As it was reported earlier, three unknown attacked Kiviryan in the
entrance of his house in Nalbandyan Street approximately at 5:00 a.m.

local time on April 30. The criminals beaten Kiviryan up with bats and
then made several shots from a pistol. Fortunately Kiviryan could turn
the barrel aside and the bullets did not wound him. Kiviryan’s family
heard three shots from the entrance. At present Argishti Kiviryan is
at hospital with numerous bodily injuries and head traumas. Armenian
Police initiated a criminal case under Article 117 of Armenian Criminal
Code (intentional infliction of light bodily injuries). On May 7 the
case was transferred to the NSS where it was changed into Article
34-106 part 2 point 7 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (attempted
murder by a group of people).

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
