A new war in Karabakh is possible theoretically but impossible in
practice, according to Ashot Manucharyan, former advisor on national
security issues to the first President of Armenia.

"In response to proclamation of Nagorno Karabakh Republic, Azeri
authorities launched a racist war against the Armenian population
in NKR and Azerbaijan. So, Baku should hold talks on territorial
concessions not with Armenia but with Armenians expelled from
Azerbaijan," he said.

"Both in Armenia and Azerbaijan the power is in the hands of several
people. Such governing philosophy produced the following result: Baku
threatens while Yerevan ignores the threats," Manucharyan concluded.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
