ArmInfo. Russia’s Javakhk Diaspora calls on the Georgian
authorities to apply a new governmental strategy by the example of
Samtskhe-Javakhk-Tsalka region, Russia’s Javakhk Diaspora told ArmInfo.
According to the document, the government of Georgia approved
a common strategy with respect to Abkhazia and South Ossetia in
early 2010. The document called "Participation Through Cooperation"
envisages only peaceful ways – through attraction of investments –
conflict settlement. After approval, the document was made public
in CE headquarters. It has also been submitted to international
institutes for the world community to get acquainted with the Georgian
authorities’ new stance.
However, the Abkhaz and South-Ossetian parties negatively treated
discussion of the Georgian strategy in the Council of Europe, as well
as the fact of existence of such a document.
"In view of the situation developed, Russia’s Javakhk Diaspora
calls on the Georgian authorities to realize the strategy, envisaged
in the proposed document, with respect to Samtskhe-Javakhk-Tsalka
region populated by Armenians. The Javakhk Diaspora of Russia is
sure that through implementation of the actions plan, envisaged in
the document, the Georgian authorities will show the world community
the model proposed to the population of Abkhazia and South Ossetia",
the statement says.
