OSCE REPRESENTATIVE ON FREEDOM OF THE MEDIA PRAISES LEGISLATIVE REFORMS IMPLEMENTED IN ARMENIA

On May 18 Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Kirakosyan received
Mrs. Dunja Mijatovi, the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media.
Greeting the guest, Arman Kirakosyan attached importance to the role
of the OSCE in ensuring human rights and basic freedoms.
Touching upon the steps Armenia has taken towards ensuring protection
of human rights, the newly appointed OSCE Representative on Freedom
of the Media positively assessed the legislative reforms implemented
in our country.
The interlocutors discussed the perspectives of further cooperation
between Armenia and the OSCE, particularly the Office of the
Representative on Freedom of the Media. They emphasized the necessity
of ensuring regional cooperation.
