Karabakh conflict discussed in Iceland’s Parliament

Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was discussed in the Parliament of Iceland.
While his visit in Iceland, Deputy of Milli Majlis Mr. Fuad Muradov
had some meetings with the Members of Parliament of this country.
Several questions were discussed during the bilateral meetings. Giving
wide information about Azerbaijan, deputy talked about the significant
role of our country in energy security of Europe. During the meeting
Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh problem also became an important
topic for the discussion.
Deputy informed the Parliament of Iceland about the fact of occupation
of 20% territories of Azerbaijan by Armenia and expelling of more than
1 million Azerbaijanis from their own lands as a result of Armenian
aggression.
Deputy said that despite adoption of 4 resolutions by the UN Security
Council Armenian side ignores this problem. Mentioning the peaceful
policy of Azerbaijan in resolution of this conflict, deputy informed
about the violation of ceasefire agreement by Armenia and killing of
thousands of peaceful residents as a result of this violation.
Icelandic Parliament was also informed about the fact of shooting
children by Armenian sniper.
Widening of relations between the Parliaments of Azerbaijan and
Iceland was also discussed during the bilateral meeting. Visiting of
Azerbaijan by the Members of the Parliament of Iceland in the coming
future was also discussed.
