YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS:

For the first time a national film award ceremony will be organized
this year in Armenia. Gevorg Gevorgyan, director of the Armenian
National Cinema Center, reported Armenpress that the nominations, the
members of the council, jury and procedure for participation have
already been clarified, but are still under development.

Most probably only local directors will partake in the award ceremony
this year; however a nomination is available for works by Armenian
directors based in other countries. According to initial information,
the award ceremony will have 6-8 nominations.

The title of the award ceremony is “Pepo”, however the organizers are
still trying to find another variant.
