NUMBER OF TOURISTS TO ARMENIA IN FIRST QUARTER OF 2005 EXCEEDS INDEX FOR SAME PERIOD OF LAST YEAR BY 33.9%
YEREVAN, MAY 19, NOYAN TAPAN. The number of tourists who visited
Armenia in January-March of 2005 increased by 33.9% on the same period
of 2004 and made 39,907. According to the RA National Statistical
Service, in the quarter under review, the number of those who left
Armenia to travel abroad made 37,595, which exceeds the respective
index of last year by 9.1%.
