ARMENIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH LEADER HOSTS NEW-APPOINTED RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR TO ARMENIA

YEREVAN, May 30. /ARKA/. Armenian Apostolic Church leader Catholicos
Garegin the Second received newly appointed Russian Ambassador
to Armenia Nikolay Pavlov on Monday. According to Press Center of
St. Echmiadzin, Armenian Apostolic Church seat, in the course of the
meeting, Garegin II expressed his satisfaction with good relations
and fraternal ties between Armenian and Russian nations. He stressed
the importance of further strengthening and developing traditions
and role of both Armenian Apostolic and Russian Orthodox Churches in
strengthening friendship between the two nations.

Pavlov, in turn, assured Garegin II that like his predecessors,
he will maintain cordial relationship between Russian Embassy and
