ARMENIAN AND AMERICAN SCHOOLS WILL BE WORKING OUT JOINT ONLINE
PROGRAMS
YEREVAN, July 27. /ARKA/. Armenian and American schools will be
working out joint online programs. Project Harmony Press Service says
appropriate arrangement was made during 15 American teachers’ visit
to Armenia in the frame of exchange of Armenian and American
teachers. Armenian-American cooperation programs are expected to be
launched this fall.
Teachers exchange program’s aim is to strengthen cooperation already
established between the two countries’ schools and to lay groundwork
for development of cooperation between the U.S.A. and Armenia. 15
Armenian teachers from the republic’s 9 provinces along with their
American colleagues have taken part in courses focused on elaboration
online programs and online facilitation. Besides, ways of using
online platform have been presented as well.
Project Harmony office is functioning in Armenia beginning from 2000
and promoting strong communities creation through intercultural
education programs. The Project Harmony is also implementing Schools
Interaction program in Armenia. The program is funded by the U.S.
State Department’s Bureau on Culture and Public Relations and FREEDOM
organization. Total budget of the project makes $12.5mln and will be
targeted for establishing internet computer centers in 330 schools in
