YEREVAN, 17 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. Two posters devoted to 100th anniversary
of the Armenian Genocide have been opened on the Marseille Municipality
building depicting Forget-me-not flowers. As “Armenpress” reports,
citing the Nouvelles d`Armenie, the opening ceremony of the posters
was attended by the Mayor of Marseille Jean-Claude Gaudin, Mayor of
Nice Christian Estrosin, MP of Parliament of France Valerie Boyer,
MP of European Parliament Renaud Muselier, Deputy Mayor of Marseilles
Didier Parakian and others.

In his speech, Jean-Claude Gaudin reminded that he was from those
figures, who have struggled for the Armenian Genocide recognition
by France in 2001. He also reflected on the draft low criminalizing
the denial of the Armenian Genocide represented by Valerie Boyer
and urged to continue the struggle for the adoption of the new law,
which corresponds to the Constitution of France.

Gaudin also called on Turkey to refresh the memory and recognize the
Armenian Genocide. The applauds of the attendees followed after the
call of the Mayor of Marseille. During the coming month, the colors
symbolizing the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide will
decorate Marseille.
