ARMENIA OBLIGED NOT TO STYMIE AZERBAIJAN’S MEMBERSHIP TO WTO

As far as the Nagorno Karabakh issue is on the agenda of Armenia
and Azerbaijan, Baku will not cooperate with Yerevan within the
frameworks of World Trade Organization, Mediamax agency quoted deputy
foreign minister of Azerbaijan as saying. “It does not contradict
the standards of WTO; besides Armenia assumed an obligation not to
stymie Azerbaijan’s membership to that organization”, deputy minister
Mahmud Mamedkuliyev said. The WTO will solve the issue of Azerbaijan’s
membership not earlier than spring of 2006.
Armenia is a WTO member since 2003.
