Iran welcomes establishment of ceasefire between Armenia and Azerbaijan by Russia’s mediation

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS. Iranian President’s Chief of Staff Mahmoud Vaezi welcomed the establishment of ceasefire between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the Nagorno Karabakh conflict by Russia’s mediation.

“We believe that if the conflicting sides remain committed to the international laws, it would be possible to end this ancient conflict through negotiations and political means. Expressing satisfaction over the end of war, we hope the agreement reached will implement the ceasefire”, Mahmoud Vaezi said on Twitter.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a statement on a full ceasefire and cessation of all military actions in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone since 01:00 Yerevan Time on November 10.
