ARMENIA GETS FROM INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC TECHNICAL CENTER 5 NEW
PROJECTS OF 2 MLN DOLLARS
YEREVAN, JUNE 30, NOYAN TAPAN. Armenia got 5 of the 30 new projects
affirmed by the heading council of the International
Scientific-Technical Center. The total sum of the latters made 1 mln
480 thousand U.S. dollars and 515 thousand evros.
The council sitting in which 11 sides, including from the Council of
Europe, Canada, Russia, U.S. and Japan, participated, was held in
Yerevan on June 25-29. Armenia occupied in the heading council a
rotation place in the CIS staff. That place will be given to Georgia
in 2007.
As Noyan Tapan was informed by the RA NAS Information Service, the
total sum of financing the new projects made 4.8 mln U.S. dollars and
3.1 evros. Besides Armenia, projects will be implemented in Russia,
Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Kyrghyzstan.
The International Scientific-Technical Center has financed 123
projects of total value of 25 mln dollars since 1994.
