RA PRIME MINISTER ANDRANIK MARGARYAN’S CONGRATULATING ADDRESS ON THE OCCASSION OF CONSTITUTION DAY

RA prime Minister issued a congratulating address on the occasion
of Constitution Day. Informatioan and PR Department of RA Government
informs that the message says, in particular,
"Dear compatriots, I congratulate you on the Constitution Day. The
historical importance and significance of the Constitution is
invaluable for any state and nation. With this comprehension, the
process of elaboration of the Constitution was launched after the
declaration of independence, and already in 1995 this important
document was adopted through a nationwide referendum, taking as a
basis the fundamental principles and nationwide aims provided for in
the Declaration of Independence of Armenia.
In the course of more than a decade the Constitution has promoted
the accomplishment of basic principles of the independent Republic
of Armenia. It has demonstrated its potential of stability and has
been a guarantee of gitimacy at hard periods for the country.
The Constitutional amendments, adopted last year in line with the new
demands of time, envisage considerable and fundamental changes in the
legislation of the Republic of Armenia as well. Both legislative and
executive authorities are actively working in this direction.
I’m confident that in the future RA Constitution will remain the major
guarantee of the progress and reinforcement of independent statehood
of our country."
