Armenian president to visit Russia in late July

Armenian President Robert Kocharyan will visit Russia in the second
half of July 2006 to attend the informal CIS summit, as well as to
observe, being accompanied by other state leaders, the annual horse
race for the prize of Russia’s President.

Armenian president spokesman Viktor Sogomonyan is quoted by a REGNUM
correspondent as saying that both the visit’s agenda and the meeting
schedule have not been detailed yet.

The horse race was held for the first time 2-3 July 2004 in Russia.

Most of the CIS leaders, except for Turkmenistan and Byelorussia,
gathered then in Moscow.
