Armenian leader saddened by loss of life in Russian plane crash

YEREVAN, August 23 — Armenian President Robert Kocharyan expressed
condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the loss of life
as a result of the Tupolev-154 passenger plane crash in Ukraine
on Tuesday.

"On behalf of the Armenian people and on my own behalf I express
deep condolences and sympathy to the near and dear of those killed,"
Kocharyan said in his message.
