NON-WISE AND NON-BRAVE PRESIDENTS

The presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan need to be wise and brave
for the settlement of the conflict over Nagorno Karabakh, said the
OSCE Chairman-in-Office Karel de Gucht in an interview with the Noviye
Izvestia newspaper.
He said this year a window for settlement opened but the meetings
of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Paris and Bucharest
were not successful. Karel de Gucht says the major hindrances remain,
and the two presidents need wisdom and braveness to overcome them.
It appears that if the problem cannot be solved, the presidents of
Armenia and Azerbaijan are neither wise nor brave. At least for the
time being, as long as the issue has not been settled.
