INTERNET PROVIDERS HAVE TURNED TO COURT
[06:17 pm] 26 January, 2007

Early in the morning «ArmenTel» started to switch off the telephone
numbers of several Internet Providers. On January 25 the January 8
decision of the Committee Regulating Public Relations took effect.

The Internet Providers have turned to the Economic Court asking to
bring a case against «ArmenTel» and the Committee. They demanded that
ArmenTel doesn’t hinder their activity, and that the Committee revise
its decision. By the way, President of the Committee Robert Nazaryan
himself advised them to turn to court.

We learned from manager of the personnel center «Dashinq» Artyom
Khachatryan that that not all the companies have been deprived of
their telephone numbers. Nevertheless, he is sure that all the
telephone numbers will finally be switched off.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
