NON-FOOD COMMODITY PRICES FALL BY 0.8% IN JANUARY IN ARMENIA
YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 2, NOYAN TAPAN. A 0.8% price fall was registered in
Armenia’s non-food commodity market in January 2007, which was mainloy
due to a 5.7% and 1.9% fall in the prices of gasoline and diesel fuel
respectively.
According to the RA National Statistical Service, prices of textiles,
jewelry, domestic electric appliances, footwear, clothing and
medicines fell by 0.2-2.1% in January. Prices of furniture, detergents
and cultural goods grew by 0.1-2.2%, and prices in other commodity
groups remained at the previous month’s level.
