DEPUTY CHIEF OF POLICE SAYS PRISON RULES MUST BE RECONSIDERED

Hovanes Hunanyan, deputy chief of police, told reporters today that an
independent committee is reviewing past mistakes in granting premature
release from arrest. He said sometimes prison administration releases
serious criminals before their end of sentence and these people commit
a new crime before they get home.
