Budapest, February 13 (MTI) – A display of photos taken by independent
French photographer Clement Saccomani on the life of women in
Armenia and Ecuador will open in Budapest’s House of Future centre
on Wednesday, the centre told MTI.
Saccomani was commissioned by the United Nations to portray the fate of
women in the two countries. The pictures in the first location Yerevan
were taken at a female clinic supported by the UN Population Fund.
In Ecuador the photographer took pictures in the capital, Quito, to
give an insight into the life of women working in the sex industry
and those languishing in prisons.
Saccomani aims to show the daily sufferings of those women, the centre
quoted the photographer as saying.
The exhibition entitled "Women Fates" will be open to the public
until March 14.
