/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Martti Ahtisaari, the UN Special Envoy for Kosovo
said that reaching compromise on Kosovo’s status is unlikely. The
positions of both sides are tough and the possibility that they will
change their mind is `extremely small,’ said Martti Ahtisaari.

Yesterday the Serbian parliament overwhelmingly rejected the UN plan
on Kosovo. The parliament issued a resolution that says `UN plan
illegally creates foundation for formation of a new independent states
on Serbia’s territory.’ The document was passed with 225 votes `for’
and 15 `against’, reports the RBC.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
