Kocharian: Market & Democracy Processes in Armenia Irreversible

ROBERT KOCHARIAN: "DEVELOPMENT OF MARKET RELATIONS AND DEMOCRACY IN
ARMENIA ARE IRREVERSIBLE PROCESSES"

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 23, NOYAN TAPAN. Charles Ghislain, the newly
appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Armenia (residence
in Brussels) handed his credentials to RA President Robert Kocharian
on February 23. During the conversation followed the ceremony the RA
President expressed satisfaction with dynamics and effeciency of the
Armenian-Belgian political relations as well as from the level of the
two countries’ cooperation within the framework of international
organizations. R.Kocharian touched upon the present state of Armenia
as well and emphasized that development of market relations and
democracy in the country are already irreversible processes. He
considered complete formation of institutes of civil society as a
primary taks, expecting an active assistance of European
structures. R.Kocharian especially attached importance in this sense
to the European Neighborhood Policy program which Armenia considers a
new possibility of implementing the reforms at high quality.
