[12:41 pm] 09 April, 2007

The campaign of the parliamentary elections kicked off on April 8. One
can henceforth come across the posters and political ads of parties
and candidates running for the parliament on the facades of the
Yerevan buildings.

Under Clause 21 of the RA Electoral Code, all the parties and
candidates can publish and spread booklets, posters, and other
material on campaign on equal footing.

The head of the community allots area for posters five days after the
official start of the campaign. The sites must be convenient for the
voters to visit. Each constituency must have at least one site for
posters.

The city municipality is in charge of the outdoor posters and
advertisements.

To note, it is upon the district administrations to decide the size of
posters.

Emil Lazarian

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
