YEREVAN, May 2. /ARKA/. The United Nations Development Program
(UNDP) attaches great importance to conducting exhibitions of heat
supply systems and technologies in Armenia, said Deputy Resident
Representative UNDP Armenia Alexander Avanessov.

"Similar exhibitions are of great importance. For the UNDP the issues
of heat supply are closely connected with the issues of the economic
development and poor layers. People’s social economic conditions
depend on the heat supply and effective use of energy supplies,"
Avanessov said. He added that similar exhibitions permit to learn the
results of heat supply development projects executed in the country.

Avanessov said that at present the UNDP assists the rehabilitation
of heat supply systems in the cities of Spitak and Gyumri, capital’s
Avan and Davidashen communities, due to which apartments with 70ths
people will be provided with heat supply.

Besides, due to the UNDP project, $40mln investments in the
rehabilitation sphere were provided in Avan and Davidashen.

The second annual exhibition of heat supply systems and technologies
which will last will May 4 is organized by the Armenian Renewable
Energy Foundation and the World Bank. 40 companies and organizations
