THE PRESIDENT WISHES AN ARMENIAN OPPOSITION IN THE
NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

A few hours ago the President of the Republic of
Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, and the First Lady of the
Republic, Bella Kocharyan, fulfilled their civil
obligation in N 9/11 polling station located in the
school N 24 named after Spandaryan.
When speaking to journalists R. Kocharyan told that in
order to avoid speculations he wouldn’t announce any
names, adding that he voted for the future of Armenia,
as well as for reforms in social and economical
spheres.

According to the president, it is important for the
country to continue its normal course after the
elections. The president wished to see not a foreign
representation but an Armenian opposition in the
National Assembly.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
